Day-Off

I believe that it's best to satisfy your food cravings from time to time. In fact, denying yourself of your favorite indulgent foods may increase their appeal and cause you to overeat when you finally satisfy the craving. This is why we love our once a week day-off. This helps both you and your body see that this is not a diet, but instead a lifestyle change. For a 24 hour time period we indulge, sometimes so much that we make ourselves sick. The day after we are usually happy to get back to our healthy routine. We recognize how much better we feel and the next week we use a bit more common sense. The theory behind this that when you feed your body what you crave, it doesn't feel deprived and it will release stored fat. The trick to this is to not allow the 24 hr. day-off each week to stretch into the entire weekend.
